Fundraising – Cricket Leinster Grand Draw

Published on Jul 19, 2019 04:48 am

Thanks to everyone who supported the bag packing day in Dunnes Corenscourt last weekend. It was a huge success. A phenomenal effort by Jennifer LeRoux organising things, Liza Kritzinger putting it together, and all the bag-packing heroes who gave their time for the club.

Our next big drive is to reinstate the cricket practice area behind the new pavilion. Work starts on this next Monday. We will be raising funds for this through the Cricket Leinster Grand Draw. We have an allocation of 500 tickets (with a fundraising value of €5,000). Tickets are individually numbered and priced at €10 each or 6 for €50. All Ticket Sales Proceeds accrue to Railway Union – so this is a fantastic opportunity to support your club.

We are looking for each family to sell at least 6 tickets for €50 and more if possible – A Youth Committee Rep will have the tickets available at every Friday night training for the next few weeks – please look out for Jenny tonight.

The same applies to Men and Women senior members. Ger O’Brien and team captains will be distributing tickets in the coming week. It’s a great opportunity to get some much-needed funds to invest in improving our facilities. And the prizes are pretty good too!

Rshare on Twittere »Player StatzCiaran Kenny’s good run of form has continued after his return from injury. Ciaran’s 125 for the 3rds in Balbriggan takes him past Ger O’Brien at the top of the batting charts with 504 runs at an average of 38. This despite Ger scoring 82 in a stand of over 200 with him in the same match.

Hamza Mann has now taken 23 wickets in Cricket Leinster competitions this season, he comfortably leads the wicket-taking charts. His impressive stats don’t include his first five-for for the first XI in the National Cup last weekend.
