Youth Cricket

Training
U8s and Minors coaching continues as usual 6.30-8pm on Friday night. Cubs have a home game at 6.30pm, meeting at 6pmNext week training also continues as usual on Tuesday 5-6.30pm for Juniors, Thursday 4-5pm for Cubs & Minors, 5-6.30 for Juniors and Friday U8s, Cubs and Minors 6.30-8pm.

Academy
Our fourth week of the Academy has flown by and the boys are all really enjoying meeting new coaches. Please note there is no Academy next week, but Week 5 continues Tuesday 13th /Wednesday 14th /Thursday 15th August 10am-1pm. The 6th and final week of the Academy will take place on Tuesday 20th /Wednesday 21st /Thursday 22nd August 10am-1pmPlease email ruyouthcricket@gmail.com for any queries.

Matches this Week and last week
A great performance by the Minor Bs last Monday week, with some great batting and bowling and a great result against Leinster. Our Cubs had a another great win against YMCA last Wednesday week and the U19s who played away against Phoenix with Chad scoring an amazing 6 sixes in a row – 112 not out got a win for Raliway. The Junior Bs game against the Hills last Thursday was postponed as the Hills were unable to field a full team.
Minor As played at Home last Saturday against Balbriggan and had a great win. Sunday’s Junior A game against North County was cancelled. Our U13 Team were unfortunate to lose against Leinster in the Plate Semi-final on Monday. The Junior B game against Terenure was cancelled as Terenure couldn’t field a full team. Rain cancelled the U17s game on Wednesday. Junior As game in North County is going ahead Wednesday evening in Balbriggan.

U11 District Cup
Congratulations to Rob O’Brien and Johnny Woods who played on the DLR team and Peter Le Roux who played on the DCC in this week’s U11 District Cup – some great batting and bowling by all 3 boys – well done lads.
