Finals weekend in Three Rock Rover was unfortunately not as successful as St Patrick’s Day. Neither the men’s 3s or 4s could do the job to bring home the cups. The 4th XI were unlucky runners up in a 3-2 thriller against Portrane. The 3rd XI were not able to make a lot of good possession count as they went down 4-1 to Glennane. Congratulations also to the Railblazers for competing in a blitz against Three Rock, Monsktown and Loreto. A great day out was had by all. Well done to all teams for making it to finals weekend and thanks to all the people who came out to support.

Thanks to everyone who played or contributed to the Indoor fundraiser last Friday. We had a fantastic turnout with 80 players showing up, ranging from colts to…eh Jonny de Burgh Whyte.
We raised a huge €1,000 which will go towards the indoor team’s European Championship expenses next season where Railway are representing Ireland. The event got such great feedback that we will be organising another one in Aug/Sept. In the meantime, there is always summer hockey in Railway! Big thank you to all of those who played, made donations, and volunteered on the night. Thank you also to The Wooden Spoon and Kate Dillon for catering the event. This is greatly appreciated by the indoor team!
