Railway U14 Boys’ League Winners

Congratulations to Railways U14 Boy’s team who sealed victory of their league last Friday evening in a play off match against Corinthians’ in Park Avenue. In a tight and cagey match with not many chances at either end Railway prevailed 1-0 with a Luke O Loughlin goal.  Jamie Forbes played the ball through from mid field and Sean O Brien did very well to keep it in play before squaring to Luke who did the rest. It was the culmination of a good season and was consolation for losing the Cup final last Sunday on a shootout. All the players committed thrughout the season, with the outdoor leagues, indoor compettion in Portrane and regularly playing up for the under 16s to make up the numbers.  This group of players are looking forward to making the step up to mens hockey in the coming years.
