Railway 5K

A huge thank you to all of the members, friends and family who worked together to make our inaugural 5K run and bake sale such a success. It was fantastic to see all ages taking part and many members who have been away returning with prams and buggies. Thanks also to all of those who raised sponsorship and brought along their friends, family and colleagues. Pool Beg Park Run organisers told us that they had record attendance on the day. We were able to make a donation of €250 to put towards Pool Beg Park Run’s efforts to buy a defibrillator. A special thanks to Pool Beg Park Run, Aoife Mc Carthy, Holly Jenkinson, Sarah Mc Donald, Graham O’ Meara and Kate Mc Kenna for organising this fantastic event. We have succeeded in (so far) raising €5,595 in donations and race entries and €1,050 from our bake sale. This gives us a total of €6,645 raised with some additional sponsorship still trickling in. Also a massive thank you to our mystery donor who donated an incredibly generous €1000 anonymously, thank you so much for your generosity! What a fantastic effort by all!
