Sports and Bar Manager, Railway Union Sports Club Location: Railway Union Sports club
Salary: €25 – 35K, depending on experience

The key areas of broad accountability are set out below. This list is not exhaustive rather intended to be indicative of the core components of the role

 Commercial relationships
o Primary point of contact for all commercial relationships RCSI

/BOI/ other commercial partnerships (crèche etc.)
o Seeknewcommercialpartnerships-SME/Hoarding/Events o Develop a pricing structure for events
o Establish new leads for corporate bookings

 Active Promotion of Club
o Promote the club to local businesses through the use of social media and the new club website.
o Update weekly the club website, facebook and twitter accounts

 Day to Day Running
o Develop a set of standard operating procedures (SOP’s) across all club activity
o Point of contact for all corporate functions and events – meet and greet
o Maintain the club’s top standards of service and hospitality
o Ensure the organization and set up of events, meetings, conferences and related business runs smoothly as per plans developed o Supervise and motivate staff who are employed by the club o Develop role description and responsibilities for all bar staff

 Invoicing and Weekly reporting

o Provide data to administration manager for invoicing

 Internal Sports Coordination
o Establish working group with each sport to promote use of the clubhouse and interaction between different sports

 Running of bar

o Whilst completing the administration tasks outlined above be working from Railway Union and have the bar open to offer services to members

o Cashmanagement–bank/float/weeklyreports

o Point of contact with Suppliers o Ordering
o Rostering of staff/cleaning staff

Indicative Hours

40 hours per week (20 bar work and 20 administration). Need to be flexible during busy periods.

Requirements:

  1. Experience as food and beverage manager in a membership organisation
  2. Experience in stock control/management and proper maintenance of all

    records essential

  3. Highly customer service oriented
  4. Ability to build and maintain relationships
  5. Desire to sustain top levels of customer service
