Dear members,

See below latest club news and developments.

Railway 5k for €5k
Our annual 5k Railway Fun Run is back again this year on Sunday 15 September. Join us in Sean Moore Park at 2pm for the run, and there is a bake sale in the clubhouse afterwards.

This is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year so we would really appreciate it to see as many people attend as possible! Sign up, donate and find out more at www.ifundraise.ie/railway5k

Volunteering within the club

As a club, Railway relies on its members to function. There are a number of roles that remain vacant and need to be filled as soon as possible for the 2019/2020 season.

Roles to be filled:

  • Men’s Club Captain
  • Men’s 3rd Team Captain
  • EYHL match day co-ordinator
  • EYHL brochure and media

This is an addition to help with our various working committees.

If you think you could help out with one of the above roles, or if you would be interested in getting further information please contact clubsecretaryruhc@gmail.com

(Taking on one of these roles will also count towards the volunteer hours discount for your subs!)

It’s that time of year again – membership subs are due on 31st October 2019. If final payment of subs has not been processed by this date members will not be eligible to play. Failure to make full payment by 31st October will incur a penalty of €40 and the member will not be insured on the club’s insurance policy

Opportunity for reduction in subs price:

We are all aware our time is valuable which is why this year our members have an opportunity to avail of a reduction in their subs in return for committing to 4 volunteer hours during the season. A complete list of volunteering options will be circulated in the coming weeks, but some options include; coaching or umpire for our junior section, assisting with fundraising events, assisting with social events, volunteering at EYHL games and helping at ‘tidy up’ days. For members who choose to avail of this discount, team captains  or members of the committee will be in contact to help arrange volunteer hours that suit you.
